Director of Biostatistics Core in the Saban Research Institute
About Dr. RyooDr. Ryoo is an Associate Professor of Research Pediatrics who joined CHLA from August 1, 2018, and is the director of the Biostatistics Core of the Saban Research Institute. He received his PhD in Quantitative Methods from the University of Minnesota in 2010 and has worked as a faculty member at the Research, Statistics, and Evaluation program of the University of Virginia, prior to joining CHLA. Dr. Ryoo has also experienced in collaborations with researchers across a variety of fields i ncluding education, psychology, medicine, and nursing. As a quantitative methodologist in Biostatistics, Dr. Ryoo is primarily interested in improving current quantitative methods and implementing new applications to facilitate the answering of substantive research questions in human sciences. His current research interests include analysis of longitudinal and multilevel data, structural equation modeling, psychometrics, propensity score analysis, and meta-analysis. Dr. Ryoo and his Biostatistics Core team will be a great resource for your research development from the outset.
